Now landed in LA – what a flight. I was up at 0330 on 1/6/2017 and flew out of Adelaide at 0600. Landed in Sydney – caught the shuttle bus and went around to the International Terminal. By the time I got thru everything they were calling my name and others from my flight over the loudspeaker to get to gate 36! Could understand it if I was dawdling but no way. I get on the plane (Delta) and seriously the leg space is for lepricorns. It was typical low cost seat – food was crap (who eats cheese pizzas on a plane?) and the service was shitte. The saving grace was that I was in in the middle of a great fella (US navy diver) and a ex-pat american girl (serial killer) that was of great value. So I land in LA and wait a couple of hrs before catching a shuttle bus to my AIRbnb.
On arrival I think exactly what yr thinking. I go to the door and guess what? No-one. So across the road I go and meet my new best mate from Costa Rica who phoned the owner and worded out the keys were left for me in the letter box. Here is his house;
The pleasant surprise is that my room is very clean and has a great bed. Have wi-fi and can’t complain. I went for a walk to 7 eleven and surprised that I didn’t end up on a CNN news-break (totally gangster suburb). Looks like I am going to be in LA for longer than I wanted as my bike is delayed at customs. Really disappointed at the piss poor IPA response to my request for interaction – obviously they get a lot of requests but I would bend over backwards for them.

Sounds like you need some cheering up time to do some sight seeing how about let’s start with the “Happiest Place on Earth “Disneyland” of course!” And then you have to go to Universal Studios – got to be done! Take care things will come together eventually.

Hopefully I can score an emergency exit when I fly over. And so the adventure begins. Fingers crossed you will have your bike soon. Don’t take any shortcuts – you may end up in Smithfield Plains. All the best – see you in a couple of months.
